Air quality levels have jumped well into the YELLOW range as this current air mass becomes more polluted and stagnant. Smoke across the southeastern US has caused AQI levels to increase into the mid to upper YELLOW range for much of the state despite the increased cloud cover. This will continue for Sunday as both Ozone and Particle Pollution values push into the upper YELLOW range as mostly sunny skies return. There will be a slight chance of showers Monday as a cold front slides through the region. That should improve AQI readings but levels could still hold in the lower YELLOW range for Tuesday.
