Synopsis and Discussion

Air quality levels are increasing as a low pressure system slides off the east coast and winds start to shift around to the west. Readings should end up averaging in the lower YELLOW range by the end of the day. West winds will continue as chances for storms increase Friday night as another compact low slides just north of the Triad and brings more rain into the area for Saturday. Most of the rain will be to our north and the continuing west winds should allow AQI readings to just hold in the lower YELLOW range. Yet another low will follow the same track Sunday and produce a very similar weather day. With similar temperatures and winds leading to more thunderstorms, AQI readings should just hold near the GREEN/YELLOW border once again. (Bodenhamer)
